Judi Clark, Brewer & Lab
Judi, a.k.a Cap’n Cackle, found her passion for beer spending countless hours at the Hoot Owl while a student at St. Lawrence University. “Scary, isn’t it?” She graduated in 1997 with a BS in Chemistry and eventually landed a job in research with a large chemical company in Southern New Hampshire. She joined Smuttynose in 2005 as an intern and soon accepted a part-time position kegging. She diligently worked her way through the cellar and into the brewhouse and now she also maintains our modest lab.
When she is not enjoying a beer or sipping a fine Irish whiskey, you’ll probably find her watching a Monarchs game, skiing, hiking, camping or helping her husband continue to build their house.
