Rowdy

Attached you will find a picture of our dog, Crowder, or Rowdy. Rowdy is a death row survivor. Two years ago, he was found by our veterinarian in a pound awaiting certain execution. The vet rescued him because she knew he'd make a great dog for someone. On a routine trip to the vet's office for our cats, my parents were introduced to the beautiful chocolate lab who had endeared himself to the entire staff of the clinic. He was a sweet boy who loved to play and chill out in inflatable swimming pools. My parents took him home on a trial basis and he was difficult to manage at times. Although he was a year old, he didn't know basic commands so we had to start from scratch. Now, two years later, he is a big teddy bear with an extremely laid back, friendly personality and a desire to please. He loves to play in the woods (and in the garden when Dad isn't looking). He can often be found curled up wherever people are closest; there have been times when we've found him standing sentinel beside my 94 year-old blind grandmother. We're so thankful to have Rowdy in our lives!
