Registered Chesapeake Bay Retriever Blue Mountain Jed, known to his family as "Jed", was named with the Grateful Dead song in mind; Tennessee Jed.
Jed was an aficionado of family, ducks and life. On more than one occasion he was seen swimming fervently after downed waterfowl with the desire to return the kill to his owner. He always knew that a warm fire followed and that the fruits of the hunt would be shared. Consummately loyal, tenaciously protective and perfectly balanced, Jed was the perfect canine family member and friend.
Cancer took Jed in March 2010 at the age of 13.
